The Great Wilpattu to Yala Challenge
The virtual race that you can participate from home, and help raise money for our fight against wildlife crime.
Wilpattu National Park in Sri Lanka is located in the Northwest part of the country. Arrive at any time and go on your safari drive. The next day, start your 487 km journey to Yala National Park in South-East Sri Lanka. Your virtual journey will take you through the towns of Kurunegala, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya before reaching Horton Plains National Park. From there you will continue to Uda Walawe National Park, but not before stopping at Ella and enjoying the beautiful views. The journey from Udawalawe will take you through the southern town of Tissamaharama to your final finish at Yala National Park.
You can run the virtual race from anywhere in the world, and at the same time keep fit, and support our fight against wildlife crime. Each participant pays a minimum of $20 and has two months to finish the challenge. You can participate by running (treadmill or outdoor), walking, or bicycling (stationary and outdoor) and log in your distance manually or synchronize it with your electronic fitness counter.
