CLASSROOM IN THE WILD is designed and presented by Serendipity Wildlife Foundation, based in the US and operating in Asia and Africa.
Our first program started in October 2024 at Lowell Elementary School in Everett, Washington, where second graders received five classroom sessions on six different wild animals: Leopard, giraffe, zebra, elephant, cheetah, and rhino. The education consisted of an audio-visual presentation and practical work with instructions, conducted by the class teacher.
When possible, volunteers from Serendipity Wildlife Foundation will attend and conduct an additional one day educational hands-on session for the students with animal skulls, fur, claws, and entertainment for the children.
Currently, Classroom in the Wild is targeted towards 7-8 year old second graders, and will remain that way into 2026. By late 2026 we hope to expand it to other age groups.
We hope to introduce this educational program to more schools internationally
