We are securing a future where cheetahs continue to roam wild and free for future generations

A tax-deductible donation of $30,000 and above will have a plaque displayed permanently at the field station honoring you, a family member, a loved one, or a business name. You will be kept informed on the progress of these endangered cheetahs, and be proud of your contribution towards future generations.
With the cheetah population worldwide declining rapidly, and with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) classifying the cheetah globally as "Vulnerable", and with some regional groups probably extinct, we currently face the possibility that cheetahs in the wild could be extinct within the next two decades. In Kenya, the cheetah is listed as an endangered species under the Wildlife and Conservation Management Act, 2013.
This crisis needs to be addressed immediately, and Serendipity Wildlife Foundation's Cheetah Project will be addressing this issue.
The Cheetah Project has been
conducting a cheetah census
since 2020, where data has been
collected and analyzed in an
area of Laikipia County, Kenya,
and where the project continues
presently in collaboration with
Mugie Conservancy, Loisaba
Conservancy, and Suyian
Conservancy.
The Cheetah Project conducts
field operations each year in January, July, and August where a specially trained team patrols the three conservancies documenting cheetahs. During the absence of the patrol team, data is submitted from field personnel and rangers.
We have found three months of patrolling inadequate, and want to build our own CHEETAH FIELD STATION at a location in or near the area we operate in, which can be staffed for several more months of the year. The advantage of a CHEETAH FIELD STATION would be for trained personnel of the Cheetah Project to respond quickly to confirmed cheetah sightings and not depend solely by sometimes inaccurate information and identification, have a place to sleep, and also work from this location.
Phase two will comprise of a small cheetah education center on the property, where school children and guests can visit free of charge and have a unique opportunity to learn about cheetahs and have a hands-on experience.
The CHEETAH FIELD STATION will be an eco-friendly building powered by solar energy and wind. Water will be from underground, with a rainwater recycling system, and mini incinerator.
The cost of the CHEETAH FIELD STATION is estimated at $30,000. You may donate any amount that you are comfortable with, which will be greatly appreciated. 100% of your donation will be used to build our field station.

Serendipity Wildlife Foundation is a registered 501(3) charity, and all donations are tax deductible as permitted by law. A tax receipt will be issued upon making your donation.
